Good lord Rambo I'd have loved to have seen that! Thanks for your description, I can almost imagine it...I wonder if anyone ever took pictures of such times. I'd heard the reservoir had had a bad effect ( or good depending on your thoughts!)

Thanks Bellemorte and Tolerance! I'm ok...back and forwards from the vets as I've some poorly guineapigs, and one who won't stop eating her stitches, ARGH! Busy weekend going to Miniatura at the NEC where I'm showing some work too...wish they weren't poorly as I don't want to leave them.
BTW Tolerance what's sourcecoding???

I was born in the north east and even 'tho I don't live there now I still think of it as my home. I have lots of family lines from Shildon through the 1800-1900s, the last ones to live there were maybe 1950ish, and are buried at All Saints Church. My Grandad was born in Shildon, and lived in Byerley Road until 1938. I've joined mainly for family-history, and I love the old photographs! My family are from all over the North East and I've some lines back until 1600.
