I was born in the north east and even 'tho I don't live there now I still think of it as my home. I have lots of family lines from Shildon through the 1800-1900s, the last ones to live there were maybe 1950ish, and are buried at All Saints Church. My Grandad was born in Shildon, and lived in Byerley Road until 1938. I've joined mainly for family-history, and I love the old photographs! My family are from all over the North East and I've some lines back until 1600.
