- Used to live in Shildon in the 60's and 70's in Alma Road. Used to happily play in ruins which are now Tin Tacks Cottages (also ashamed of destruction caused therein). Roamed around the 'Ballas' as if I owned it. One of the best moments of life: Finally climbing up the quarry walls aged 8.

Shildon Recall Society
The Shildon Recall Society have been around for over 20 years. They meet on Thursday nights at 7.30-9.00 in the Shildon People's Centre (old police station).
