- Grew up in Shildon, left the North East in 1973 and have subsequently lived in London, Bristol, Paris, the south of France and Abu Dhabi. Journalist (ex-Darlington Evening Despatch, Northern Echo) currently working in the UAE but returning soon to Europe, to be based most of the year in France. Sunderland season ticket holder.
